We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and professional Salon Assistant to join our team at Skyline Salon. As a Salon Assistant, you will support our stylists and ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for our clientele. This is an excellent opportunity to grow in the beauty industry and gain hands-on experience in a high-end salon environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist stylists with client preparation (e.g., washing, blow-drying, and preparing hair for treatments)
- Ensure the salon is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
- Greet and welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain salon equipment and tools, ensuring they are sanitized and in proper working condition
- Assist with inventory management (ordering products, tracking supplies, etc.)
- Support stylists with client consultations, bookings, and appointments
- Handle customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate stylist or service
- Manage laundry, including towels and capes
- Keep the salon environment welcoming and aesthetically appealing
- Perform light administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing payments
Qualifications:
- Licensed cosmetologist in the state of Missouri
- Passion for the beauty industry and commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, professional attitude with a team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge of salon tools, products, and equipment preferred
- Willingness to learn and grow within the industry
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
